And now for something completely different...
I’ve been a big fan of Clifford since, I shit you not, my senior year in high school one of the class clowns did a stand-up report on the original book.
About 15 years ago I started volunteering for my local public TV/radio station, and they periodically need people to wear costumes. Great, I thought, I’d love to be Clifford.
Turns out the PBS costume for Clifford the Big Red Dog is for someone no taller than about 5'4". I was greatly depressed and bewildered.
Anyway, I’ve since gotten to be Cookie Monster and one or two other lesser-known figures, but I’ve never quite gotten over the disappointment of not getting to be Clifford.

2:14 p.m. A man running heavy equipment called 911. The dispatcher couldn’t hear what the man was saying and eventually the guy just hung up, leading the dispatcher to believe it was probably a pocket dial.
This reminds me of the tragic story of the kid who got trapped and died in his own CUV, in part because the 911 dispatcher was having a hard time hearing him. The police even found the vehicle but because 911 didn’t have a lot of confidence in the call they didn’t break in.
911 dispatcher is a job I would never, ever, ever, ever, ever want to do.

Yeah, that one jumped out at me too, seems like it warranted at least a follow up call. I don’t think you should ever assume things are ok when people call 911, even if it just sounds like a pocket dial or prank. Make sure, and if it was something stupid, then consider fining them or whatever.
And definitely don’t be like this woman: ‘Ain’t nobody got time for this’: 911 dispatcher sentenced to jail after hanging up on thousands of callers
